Story

The story begins with Thor(still worthy) fighting Gorr, the god butcher, who wants to kill all gods by creating a bomb that will kill all gods in the universe. After defeating Gorr, he tells Thor that one day he'll realize he was right and that day he will no longer be worthy. Skip forward a few months, Thor finds himself in Asgard looking at his hammer as he is no longer able to lift it after seeing people in despair across the 9 realms and not a single god helping them( this line will be quoted by Thor ). Odin sees Thor as weak and pathetic as he is no longer worthy, he believes that Thor didn't learn any lessons and forbids him to enter Asgard and Earth. Thor is on a quest to prove that he is worthy and help people across 7 accessible worlds of Alfheim, Musphelheim, Jouteheim, Nivadelir, Helheim, Svartalfar and Vanaheim. He will encounter many friends and foes and make moral decisions that will decide if he is worthy or not? One of Thor's last remaining friends, Heimdal will aid him from Asgard, allowing him to travel through the bifrost(rainbow bridge that acts as a portal). In the end, Thor will realize he must face his father, Odin and prove to him that no god is worthy

How to Play

This game is an RPG and there are plenty of side missions as well as the main story. You help characters you meet in the game and earn gear and upgrade your armor, weapons and powers. You will have 2 melee weapons throughout the game. First you start with Mjolnir( Thor's hammer ), then you only have the Jarnbjorn axe. Both weapons can be thrown and summoned back. Leter in the game you unlock the power of lightning and can deal more melee damage as well as cast lightning bolts. You can travel across long distances on your flying ram Toothgnasher that can be summoned. You can travel to other worlds using the bifrost. There is a storage system for gear and food/drink. You can look at the map of the world you're in and others by accessing the map menu and the world tree in it. There is a HUD displaying your health and the map as well as the power bar. Objects and people can be interacted with using the cursor.
