Game Introduction
i'm making a game where a dude climbs a mountain.
- platformer
- I'm making a game where a dude climbs a mountain
- GamePlay
- you will dodge obstacles while trying to advance further into the game, the game pretty much boils down to jumping. however I'm gonna throw in some other mechanics
- Target audience & platforms
- this game isn't directed towards any demographic.
- look and feel of game
- the game will be 2D with Minimal graphics, though I want to have the game to feel like you are climbing up the mountain from the base to the summit.
Story
to be honest I don't really have an Idea for the story at this time. but i'm sure that there will be a story in the final version.
How to Play
the game will available on itch.io through this link --> LINK
controls:
W - jump
A - move left
D - move right
S - fall through platform
Q - heal
E - interact
Artwork (design)
for this game I will be making all the art myself, so we will see how that goes.
Technical Requirements
I don't know man you could probably run this game on a smart fridge. also It will be in 2D and will run using an HTML file.
Heads Up Display (HUD)
The HUD will tell you your health, the remaining amount of times you can heal, and a boss's health if I decide to add one.
Characters
there might be multiple characters including person-man, his arch nemesis human-guy, and maybe some others i'm not sure yet.
person-man
Person-Man is the protagonist of our story I don't why he decided to climb the mountain and I'm not sure he knows why either, either way here we are, climbing a mountain.
Human-Guy
Human-Guy is the arch nemesis of Person-Man, and also his neighbor. he's also very egotistical.
Level Design
I want to design the level around the environment so that it feels natural. and I want every stage to have sort of it's own mechanic and feel. there will be multiple levels, such as:
- grassy field
- forest
- coal mine
- snowy cliff
- etc...
- summit
Global Elements
there will be obstacles that halt the players progress but there will also be things such as the healing orbs. other game objects include water, bats, spikes, etc.
Player View
so the camera follows the player as they move.
