Artwork (design)
Here in this section we talk of Gameplay, Characters, Environment/Level and how each add to the game and make the game.
Story
The story of my game is a simple story of a worm with the name of Jeff trying to make his way through obstacles, threats and dangers to get food to eat and dodge his way through all these threats to survive. Although he has five hearts meaning five lives to get to the food giving him points though when the five lives are gone its Game Over I'm afraid.
Characters
The characters in the game include Jeff the main character (The Worm), Karen (The Bird)and the mole Liam (The Mole).
Jeff (The Worm)
Jeff is a worm and is hoping to get to food to eat in the morning and must make a long and dangerous journey to try to get to this food.
Karen (The Bird)
Karen is also looking to stop Jeff the worm so she can not only eat Jeff (The Worm) but also eat the food that he is running to so she can have more.
Liam (The Mole)
Liam is looking to eat Jeff (The Worm) before Karen (The Bird) does so he can eat as well.
Gameplay
With Gameplay we see as you play there will be a progression system on how much food you've collected and be added by the end of the game so you can beat this score on the next turn. The objective of the game is to collect food and survive through the game.
Environment/Level
For the environment/level design I hope to have the environment either in two places like underground in the soil though this may be very difficult to do or hope to have it on the grass above ground. The level design is also quite simple it will challenge the player by having to avoid threats and obstacles and I also was thinking of having it like the longer you play the faster it gets.
Art Description
With art description I did some small drawings of the main characters and visual design id like to have them as but this may change or be difficult to implement into my game but I hope to use.
Audio & Sound F/x
For Audio and sound I hope to add sound effects like bird noises and sounds of rocks as well moving and hopefully add in moving noises and so on.
Technical
Here below are the technical features I hope to implement into my game.
How To Play
The game is simple to play you will use the arrow keys on your laptop or your keyboard and click to go left or right and is quite simple and must dodge the threats and obstacles as the player won't have to use the keys to run forward it will run forward for them. So the player must only have to move left or right dodging.
User Interface (controls)
The User Interface Controls are to be simple ones such as I hope to put in a menu to pause the game. Then in the game you'll have Turn, collecting food, health bar and a game over message.
