Game Introduction
"Mirror Matter" is a 3D endless running game for PC that brings the player through an endless entertaining world of obstacles & mirrors. However all is not what it seems as a mirror can hold a lot more than you bargained for. The longer you stay running the more points you will earn. Special mirrors throughout the game will give extra points but watch out for the broken mirror obstacles which could end your run and end the game.

How to Play?
In this game you will navigate a player through a 3D world filled with obstacles and mirrors. The longer you stay running in the game the more points you will earn. The more points you earn the higher on the leader board you will be. As you guide the runner through the course you will dodge oncoming obstacles of old broken mirrors which now cover the course and brave the new world located in each shiny new upstanding mirror. These mirrors will give additional points but also if you run though a mirror in the game an aspect of the game will change. These changes range from; colour, camera angle and gravity within the game.
Target audience & platforms
This game is targeted to age 8+
Look and Feel
This game is similar to games like Temple Run and Minion Rush and will have a similar feeling to them. The camera will be in a third person perspective and you will use the arrow keys to dodge obstacles and enter mirrors.
Story
Stick Stickman has been put on this earth for one reason and one reason only and that is to see their name in lights on the leaderboard. Stickman must gain points and become victorious getting onto the leaderboard in first place in order to fulfil the destiny of their people.
Schedule
A schedule has been created by the lecturer for the game development assignment. Week 8 commences the initial stages of the game development. This GDD will grow and develop as the game does with additional information being added week to week.
Artwork (design)
Current artwork from the brainstorming for the game included a 3D stickman.
Technical Requirements
A world where this character can run must be obtained or created. A basic running platform with ornate mirrors and broken glass will be the main visual aesthetics of the game.
Screens
The screens involved in the game is the main game playing screen.
Controls
Use the left and right arrow keys in order to dodge obstacles and enter the new worlds in each mirror. Space bar can be used to jump over broken mirror obstacles. When the gravity mirror has been activated use the arrow keys to dodge oncoming obstacles as you fall through the course.
Mechanics
The primary mechanics of the game include a swerving mechanic and a rise and fall mechanic. The player must dodge oncoming obstacles with the swerving mechanic. When the player passes through a certain mirror, gravity can be lost and a fall mechanic will be used. The player will also dodge oncoming obstacles with this mechanic.
Platform
This game will be released on PC
Characters
This game will see one character make their way through the course. This will be a basic 3D stick person. As the game develops and grows additional outfits and accessories would be available for the character.

Level Design
There will be one continuous level of the game the player navigates through. This will be a basic black and white set up on a basic running track. When passing through a mirror the player will be transported to an area of different colours. This will give a feeling of there being more than one level per game. These different areas will be done at random.
Areas
Areas include:
1. Starting area
2. Colourful area
3. Gravity falling area
4. Different camera angle area
Game Flow
The different areas in the game will be at random depending on which mirror you pass through.
Player View
There is a 3D third person perspective to the game. However the camera angle will change to a side view perspective in certain areas.
Audio & Sound F/x
The game will have background music as well as sound effects when passing through a mirror or over an obstacle. These will be different sounds to each other.
Sounds Needed
An ethereal sound for passing through the mirror.
A sound of glass smashing/ metal banging for when hitting an obstacle
